Dr. Teh-Quei Lee, research fellow, Institute of Earth Sciences of Academia Sinica Taiwan, was invited by assistant professor Yu-Min Chou, visited Department of Ocean Science and Engineering during 14~21 August, 2017. He provided a talk with the title of “Environmental magnetic study on marine sediments—case studies from cores raised from South China Sea” on 16 August at Meeting Room R311, Block 6, Wisdom Valley.
Dr. Lee, introduced the foundation of environmental magnetism and its implications of marine sediment cores from South China Sea.
With the experience of building one of the best paleomagnetic laboratories in eastern Asia, Dr. Lee also shared his knowledge to us for the design of new laboratory in SUSTech.
